Do you know about the marketing strategy Attract, Engage (Nurture) and Convert? If you don’t then I will break it down for you because it’s a strategy you can easily implement in the new year.
Attract
The first thing you want to do in your brand marketing is to attract new visitors. Pick ONE platform you are comfortable with and start there. Let’s say Facebook. How can I attract new visitors? I can boost a post or create a FB ad. This brings in newbies who like similar Facebook pages to yours but they have never visited your page yet.
Engage (Nurture)
Next you want to engage with these folks possibly by replying to comments they make to your Facebook posts or creating posts that encourage conversations so you can communicate with these new followers. Gather their emails by offering something free that will interest them then begin to nurture your new relationship with newsletters that send them valuable content. Be consistent because this helps build trust in new followers. For example, I have two blog posts published a week, my people know and like this consistency. I also send one newsletter per quarter.
Convert
Finally, in those newsletters you are sending out, add a call to action at the end (it doesn’t have to be in every single newsletter, do what feels comfortable to you.) This can be about your new book coming out, or sharing information about your speaking details, etc. This is the part where you have the chance to convert your followers to customers.
Google this. I didn’t make it up, but it makes sense to me when I see the visuals and I keep this in the back of my head when planning out my brand marketing.
