Here’s an excellent marketing tip that I put into practice earlier this year thanks to a colleague suggesting it. Work with someone on your team to create a catalog of your books. Be sure to include the following information:
- Book titles
- ISBN
- Ordering information
- Reviews
- Awards
- Contact information
- Social Media handles
Once you have a completed catalog of your books, you will want to have it printed. We use Smart Press.

Now that you have catalogs, how can you use them to market your books? Here are a few ideas:
- Send them out to individual bookstores
- Give some to your distributor to share with their book buyers
- Look into joining a co-op marketing program with your distributor where they include your catalog along with other publishers review books and marketing materials. This was very cost effective for us to participate in a program like this!
