Maria uses her experiences as an award-winning author for over a decade to work with writers on getting their messages into the world. She takes pride in mentoring CRP authors & offering a customized marketing campaign that the CRP team coordinates and implements.
Adam has worked in nonprofit management for over 15 years. As a writer, educator, and father, he loves picture books of all stripes (and spots) and is eager to find stories that will help children grow into kind, empathetic adults.
Sujin uses her online marketing skills to reach future CRP fans and readers. As a mother of two children, Sujin loves CRP’s mission of educating while entertaining young readers.
Lead Video Editor
Josh Falkum is proud to be the lead video editor for CRP. He is also the owner of Falkum Creative, a creative media agency focused on promoting the voices and missions of socially conscious small businesses, entrepreneurs, and independent filmmakers. Editing these videos is one of the highlights of his job!
Mike works on expanding sales for CRP. He has been in the business since 1984 in a variety of roles. Mike was a sales executive at Harper Collins for 22 years. He has a broad swath of experience in everything from copywriting to warehousing. Mike loves the book business.
Rachel is a Project Manager that lives in Overland Park, Kansas with her husband and three girls. She handles the scheduling for Maria’s new podcast “All the Write Marketing.” Rachel loves helping entrepreneurs bring their ideas and vision to life!
Layne brings the data for better decisions in our business. She’s our in-house data interpreter for all things from advertising, to inventory, to sustainable growth.
Shanna Bourne, owner of Girlfriday Print & Web maintains the Cardinal Rule Press website. She has been married for 10+ years and has 3 children.
Mandy works as Maria’s executive assistant. She handles anything from emails to social media to data entry. She loves the work she does and is proud to be a member of the Cardinal Rule Press team!

Sarah Cavanaugh is a Marketing Communications Specialist living in Grand Rapids, MI. Sarah provides her copywriting skills in the bi-weekly newsletters and monthly CRP blog.
Nancy Raines Day helps edit Cardinal Rule Press titles from manuscript to printer-ready copy. She is herself the author of a dozen picture books.
Kenyetta helps CRP to maintain their books and records to keep them up to date by providing monthly Financial Statements.
Meg Rutledge Keys is a Content Writer/Editor working to elevate Maria’s messages of kindness, empathy and character building for kids, parents and teachers, alike. Meg is driven by CRP’s mission to make a difference in the world, one book at a time.
Janice Pollard provides proofreading & editing services for CRP. Editing often takes place during a final book review after all illustrations are complete and the book has been designed. She says it’s a pleasure to work with Maria and her team!
Senior Graphic Designer
Maggie is one of a talented team of graphic designers who bring ideas and concepts to a visual conclusion. From program logos, to library posters, employee handbooks to Instagram images, it’s her job to make it work and look good – somehow, someway.
Liza May Saquilayan
Liza May manages the content of the blog coming from our staff writers, ensuring that articles are published as planned and scheduled. She also schedules social media for our brand, reaching out and enagaging with our audience.
Maggie creates book cover & interior designs that amplify our author’s stories with the partnership of our illustrator’s amazing creations. She believes children’s books are an essential piece in learning many important life lessons and enjoys being able to have a part in creating this impactful work.
Gladys is a believer, bookworm, coffee junkie, and blessed mommy of 4. She’s a pick-up drivin’, high heel wearin’, lip gloss lovin’ Texas girl. She loves reading, creating resources, and teaching.
Allison has been designing & developing websites for Maria since 2011. She loves collaborating with heartfelt brands, and one of her greatest joys is helping entrepreneurs get their innovative products out into the world.
