Through Pink Tiara Cookies for Three, Maria shows children how to keep a best friend and always find room for more. As in her previous books, Maria does a great job connecting with young children, the problems they face, and the way they feel about them. Maria’s books are perfect for building strong character in your students and helping them learn how to cope with the everyday problems they may face with friends and classmates. The language used and story are easy for young children to follow and the illustrations compliment the text and draw the reader in. A must-have for your character traits library.
After reading one of Maria’s other books, I couldn’t wait to read this one. Again, being the mom of three boys I was hesitant but I tried it any ways. I believe this is one of the best books I have ever read to my sons. They are best friends but often one of them is left out and their feelings get hurt. How can I teach them that three people can be friends and no one is left out? I have tried and failed many times. This book is about two best friends and the new girl in town who wants to be a friend to them both. How will this friendship triangle ever work? Can three be friends and no one’s feelings get hurt? Maria does it again and teaches us all that one can have many friends and still be a great friend to them all!
Maria Dismondy continues to show her creative ability to connect important lessons to kids. This book is another example of this author’s ability to use humor, current topics, and life lessons to make this a better world for our children.
