Scam Alert – We have recently become aware that some people are receiving fraudulent messages from a scam artist posing as ACAN PUBLISHING (Tim Andrews on LinkedIn) using a fake email address and completely copying the Cardinal Rule Press logo and website.
The impersonator has been sending fake employment letters using our logo and books to trick people into believing that they are interviewing and hiring editors and translators and contracting freelance work on Cardinal Rule Press’ behalf.
This is a scam. If you receive any such email, we encourage you to report the phishing attempt to your email provider and the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center. We have our attorney involved and are deeply disturbed by this infringement on our copyright protected books.
Hello,
I’ve just been contacted by them and I’ve the impression it was some sort of scam.
I’m glad I checked it out before wasting my energy and time with them.
How can I help you? Is there anything I can do to help your attorney and fight these unscrupulous people?
So what’s the scam? Fake job offer?
Please, spread more this alert, so that more people aware. That Subject still doing phising through Linked IN platform (Sir Tim Andrew) and chasing the next victims.
