Let's Make It Your Most Engaging National Reading Month Ever!

LET’S MAKE IT YOUR MOST ENGAGING NATIONAL READING MONTH EVER!

Welcome to MARCH – NATIONAL READING MONTH!

To celebrate, we’re providing you some FRESH content ideas for your blog, social media, or customer newsletters. We’re confident these will make the BEST month of the year YOUR BEST and MOST ENGAGING for your readers and customers!

INTRODUCE STAFF MEMBERS UNIQUELY

This is a great way to show the human side of your library and feature the people who make it all happen. Ideas for a twist? Feature the same three fun questions for each new hire. Share a staff member’s secret talent or a fun fact! Highlight the staff’s favorite recipe!

BRANCH/STORE TRIVIA

Post a little-known fact about your branch or bookstore. How old is the building and is there some cool history? Share the most checked-out or purchased book you have!

PRO TIP: This would be ideal to break up for multiple social media posts. Each fact could be one post accompanied by a photo. Be sure to tag the location, resource or book!

FOCUS ON HOBBIES

People can learn all sorts of new hobbies at the library. This would also make a great tie-in for an upcoming class you’re offering.

PRO TIPS: Include a link to the book on the hobby and/or how to register or learn more about dates and times of a class.

TIMELY TOPICS DISCUSSED WITH BOOKS

Books can be a great lens through which to look at current events. Use both fiction and nonfiction to shed light on and spark conversations about timely issues in your community, the nation, and the world. PRO TIP: Be sure to link out to the books in the post.

GIVE THANKS TO YOUR STAFF, VOLUNTEERS, AND PATRONS

Don’t forget a great photo! This goodwill post can lead to lots of shares on social media.

Cardinal Rule Press has got your back when it comes to FRESH ideas to celebrate National Reading Month. So, get to sharing the stories of your bookstore or library and we promise the community will embrace the best month of the year with you!
