Be sure that you always have a business card on hand when out and about in the world. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve forgotten mine and have regretted it. Now they are housed in my wallet.
What should go on your card?
- name, position in the company, company name and contact information such as email address, phone number including extension, fax number, and mailing address. (I personally don’t add the address due to the nature of my business)
- the card should be an extension of your brand, including your logo and tagline.
- people are also including social media images to where they are most active along with the handle.
Be creative with the format and design: When I ordered my last batch of business cards, my graphic designer and I went for a layout that was a bit more eclectic-a circle! I think this is fine being in this creative industry and personally, I feel like it will give me something to talk about during times I may be stuck with a conversation.
